The dreadful grossness of running back and forth and back and forth, beep after beep after beep, hearing the Australian narrator say each number, level by level.
The beep test is obviously not my favorite way to test my fitness, but it does show a lot. In Grade 8 (from what I remember), I was only able to go up to level 5. By Grade 10, the highest I could go was level 7. And now, my personal best was made at the most recent beep test that we did, and I achieved level 8-3.
I am just a little disappointed in it. My goal was to get at least 8, but I thought that I could reach at least level 8-7 to 9. I felt that I could have done a lot better, but I just got so tired and I really don't know why I decided to quit.
I was hopeful to get to a high level because during the 30-minute run, I was able to keep a pace and not stop for the entire time (which I'm really proud of by the way!), and I thought to myself that if I could run continuously for 30 minutes then I could probably get to level 9 on the beep test. I thought wrong :(
I hope that for the next beep test we will do with our class I will be able to reach my level 9 goal!
